Hélène Darroze awarded the world best female chef 2015 (Prize Veuve Clicquot).

The prize "Veuve Clicquot" for the World Best Female Chef 2015 was awarded to Hélène Darroze, head owner of an eponym restaurant in Paris since 1999, as well as one in London «Hélène Darroze at the Connaught».

This high achievement for the World Best Female Chef  will be handed to her at official prize-giving ceremony for "50 Best Restaurants of the World" in London on June 1st (ranking orchestrated by the famous “Britain’s Restaurant" magazine).

Hélène Darroze was born in Landes (France) and was fascinated by the art of cooking since a very young age, due to growing up in a family full of cooks (her being the 4th generation chef). After a diploma in Business at Bordeaux Business School, she decided to join Ducasse's team, in the office of the Le Louis XV restaurant in Monaco. Almost 8 years later, she officiates in her restaurants in 2 big cities within Europe*.

The previous winner of this prize was the Brazilian Helena Rizzo, head chef at the Maní restaurant in São-Paulo.

This prize aims at promoting cooking from all places of the world and at proving in everybody's view that there are women possessing real deserving culinary talents of the biggest bank of the planet.

"My hope is that the winners of this prize inspire the young women, including my daughters, to follow their passion. I admire all the previous prize-winners of this prestigious prize a lot and I am delighted to be part of it from now on". On April 22nd, those sentences were her first words following her reward. Hélène Darroze is a woman who wishes to share her passion around her.
